How Common a Notary Isn't

At least 90% of our paperwork is going to have to be certified or notarized. And of all the items that need to be notarized, probably 99% of those papers have to be notarized not while we're signing the document but while someone else is signing it! That's where I find this process frustrating. Notaries are not found in the places where I need them to be.

Right now our big issue is that there isn't a notary attached to our doctors' office. Our physician has to fill out this paperwork regarding our health and a notary must be present while they sign. So I called the doctor's office - no notary on staff. Now I get to find a notary that can freelance and come out whenever John and I have our doctor's appointment - which I haven't scheduled yet. Why schedule it when I don't know if I can get a notary to come out? And out of all the paperwork that we have to get turned in fairly soon - the medical forms are going to take the longest. I want to get this ball rolling!

If I could become a notary and notarize for myself, I would. Anyone else want to volunteer?
